My AC runs all day but the house still feels damp. What is wrong?
In Mississippi humidity, a system that runs constantly and still leaves the air sticky is usually oversized, low on refrigerant, or moving air too fast to pull moisture out of it. We measure the temperature split across the coil and check airflow and charge before recommending anything. Duct leaks in a hot attic pull humid air into the return side too, which is common in older homes across the region and something we look for on every humidity call.
How much of Mississippi do you cover?
We serve homeowners across the state and in the surrounding states we cover, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The city pages linked on this page show the areas we schedule most often. If you do not see your town listed, call anyway. We can usually tell you in one conversation whether we can get a truck to you and when.
How soon can someone get out to me?
Same-day and next-day slots are common in the shoulder seasons, and during the first long heat stretch of summer the schedule fills fast. Tell us whether you have any cooling at all, whether anyone in the house is elderly or medically vulnerable, and we will prioritize accordingly. We give you a time window and call before we head your way rather than leaving you sitting by the door.
What can I check myself before I call?
Five things, and none of them involve opening a panel. Check that the thermostat is set to cool or heat and that the batteries are good. Look at your breaker panel for a tripped breaker. Change the filter if it is gray. Clear leaves, grass clippings and vines away from the outdoor unit. Walk the house and confirm supply vents are open and not blocked by furniture. If those are all fine, the problem needs a technician.
I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?
Get everyone out of the house first. Do not flip switches, do not use the thermostat, and do not light anything. Once you are outside and away from the building, call 911 or your gas utility. They will make the site safe. After that, call us and we will come inspect the heating system, check the heat exchanger and combustion, and tell you plainly what it will take to make it right. The same applies if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill out the quote form and describe what the system is doing. Warm air, short cycling, water on the floor, a smell, a noise. That detail tells us what parts to load on the truck.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the ductwork. You hear what we found in plain language before anything gets replaced or repaired.
- Step 3
You approve the fix
We explain the repair, what it costs and what happens if you wait a season. Nothing gets done without your go-ahead, and we tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense.

Why homeowners call us
- We know humid-climate systemsAcross the region the real enemy is moisture. Systems here run long hours pulling water out of the air, and that shows up as frozen coils, clogged drains and mildew smells. We diagnose for humidity, not just temperature.
- Mixed gas and heat pump workPlenty of homes we visit run a heat pump with gas backup, and the two have to hand off cleanly. We troubleshoot both sides, including defrost boards, reversing valves, ignitors and heat exchanger concerns.
- Attic ductwork is our daily breadMid-century homes often have ducts running through attics that hit brutal temperatures. Crushed runs, disconnected boots and leaking joints steal cooling before it reaches the room. We find them instead of blaming the equipment.
- Repair before replaceA capacitor, a contactor, a blower motor or a clogged drain line fixes a lot of the calls we take. We would rather fix what you have and tell you plainly when the numbers stop working.
- All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
