Cooling that runs and runs without cooling, a heat pump stuck on backup heat, humidity that never lets up. We work on gas furnaces and heat pumps both.

Questions Louisiana homeowners ask

My AC runs all day and the house still feels sticky. What is going on?

In Louisiana that is usually a humidity problem more than a temperature problem. An air conditioner pulls moisture out of the air while it runs, and if the system is oversized it satisfies the thermostat fast, shuts off, and never runs long enough to dry the air. Low refrigerant charge, a dirty evaporator coil, a blower moving too much air, or duct leaks pulling damp attic air into the return will all do the same thing. Change your filter, make sure the supply vents are open, then call us and we will measure what the system is actually doing.

How fast can you get someone out here?

Call us and we will tell you honestly where you sit in the schedule that day. July and August are our heaviest stretch and the first cold snap in December fills the calendar too, so same-day is realistic on some days and not on others. If your home has an infant, an elderly resident, or someone with a health condition, say so on the phone and we will move you up the list.

Which parts of Louisiana do you cover?

We serve homeowners across the state, and the city pages linked on this page show the specific areas our crews run. If your town is not listed, call anyway. We cover a wide region across several states and we can tell you in one call whether we reach you.

What should I have ready before the technician arrives?

Know your thermostat brand and what it is set to, and note whether the outdoor unit is running, humming, or dead silent. Tell us roughly how old the system is and whether it is gas heat or a heat pump. If you have had work done before, having the paperwork handy saves time. Clear a path to the indoor unit, whether it is in a closet, an attic, or under the house, and pen up any dogs.

I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?

Get everyone out of the house first. Do not flip switches, do not light anything, and do not go looking for the source. Once you are outside and away from the building, call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line and let them clear the property. After they have made it safe, call us and we will inspect the furnace, the heat exchanger and the gas connections. The same applies to a carbon monoxide alarm going off. Leave, call, then call us.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form and describe what the system is doing. Warm air, short cycling, water on the floor, a smell, a noise. That detail tells us what parts to load on the truck.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the ductwork. You hear what we found in plain language before anything gets replaced or repaired.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the fix

We explain the repair, what it costs and what happens if you wait a season. Nothing gets done without your go-ahead, and we tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know humid-climate systemsAcross the region the real enemy is moisture. Systems here run long hours pulling water out of the air, and that shows up as frozen coils, clogged drains and mildew smells. We diagnose for humidity, not just temperature.
  • Mixed gas and heat pump workPlenty of homes we visit run a heat pump with gas backup, and the two have to hand off cleanly. We troubleshoot both sides, including defrost boards, reversing valves, ignitors and heat exchanger concerns.
  • Attic ductwork is our daily breadMid-century homes often have ducts running through attics that hit brutal temperatures. Crushed runs, disconnected boots and leaking joints steal cooling before it reaches the room. We find them instead of blaming the equipment.
  • Repair before replaceA capacitor, a contactor, a blower motor or a clogged drain line fixes a lot of the calls we take. We would rather fix what you have and tell you plainly when the numbers stop working.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
